    1. I think they are the same - probably just a miss-spelling. The Atlas of Living Australia which is based on the Australian Fauna & flora Directory also states it as R.flocktoniae.

    2. I am not sure what to do with this one. The Australian sources use Russula flocktoniae. All the other databases, including those that are about fungi only, list Russula flocktonae Cleland & Cheel, 1919 as an accepted name. The reference is the same in both cases.

  2. Ferdie,
    This fungus is going to undergo a name change. According to Mycologist Lachlan Tegart a DNA analysis showed that R. flocktoniae is actually Lactifluus clarkeae. I might request your assistance with editing the name at a later date. Thanks.
