I received the ID of Ophthalmitis basiscripta for this same Moth/picture. Do you have any opinion on that? Posted 8 years ago

  Both species are found in Borneo and they are very similar. Comparing the references for the two species I am still leaning towards Ophthalmitis rufilauta because it is more brownish but I am not 100% sure. I am not so familiar with these species. How reliable is the other ID source?

The Ophthalmitis rufilauta

''Ophthalmitis rufilauta'' is a moth in the Geometridae family. It is found in Borneo in lowland and lower montane rainforests. The species is distinguished by the brown shading between the hindwing antemedial line and the discal mark.
