Many-scaled Anole in Costa Rica One of these lived near our cabin at the La Cusinga Jungle Lodge - it was great fun to watch, especially when it tried to impress us by displaying the throat patch.Anoles are very challenging to identify, but I feel fairly confident about this as the apperance and distribution match - but feel free to correct me John if you disagree! The many-scaled anole or Golfo-Dulce anole , is a lizard endemic to the Gulf of Dulce area of Costa Rica.
