The bamboo orchid is a species of orchid and the sole accepted species of the genus "Arundina". This tropical Asiatic genus extends from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, the Ryukyu Islands, Malaysia, Singapore, China to Indonesia, the Philippines and New Guinea.
