Bright orange butterfly, Santa María, Colombia

Found on the bike of one of the guides. It is exceptionally bright in its orange. Callicore pitheas is my wild guess for now.

  Thanks so much, very convincing reference that also shows the purple. This really is one of the brightest butterflies I've yet seen, that orange is so bright that the camera registers it as a single color without any detail. Posted 8 years ago
