  1. I see that you have found a better match. Leucauge dromedaria is an Australian species. 2 species are found in North America: L. argyra - Florida to Brazil and L. venusta - southern Canada to Panama. Posted 8 years ago

The orchard spider is a long-jawed orbweaver spider that occurs from southern Canada to Panama, along the East coast, reaching into the central US. The web is often oriented horizontally, with the spider hanging down in the center.
