Spinylegged Katydid, probably Paracaedicia serrata This lovely creature was in the middle of a small side road we were on while returning from dinner to our rainforest lodge, Licuala Lodge, Mission Beach, Queensland, Australia. I know that Katydid identification is VERY challenging, but the pictures that you find on Google of the name I am suggesting look identical to the one in my photo.
