Moustached puffbird couple, Santa María, Colombia

Spotting a puffbird takes a lot of luck, as they have earth tones that camouflage them well, and they tend to sit still a lot. Finding a couple during marriage counseling takes some extra luck.

The Moustached puffbird

The moustached puffbird is a species of puffbird in the family Bucconidae. It is one of seven species in the genus ''Malacoptila.''

It is found in Colombia and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical and tropical dry forests, subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical and tropical moist montane forests, and heavily degraded former forest.
