Sanderling There were a big group and I had to isolate one of them and started to concentrate. This guy started moving towards me. Got some decent images of it, but at one point of time it was so close to me that it had crossed my min. focus distance of the lens. I couldn't click anymore but just wander my eye balls around it unmoved. The Sanderling is a small wader. It is a circumpolar Arctic breeder, and is a long-distance migrant, wintering south to South America, South Europe, Africa, and Australia. It is highly gregarious in winter, sometimes forming large flocks on coastal mudflats or sandy beaches.
