    1. Lol - the eagle recovery here has been amazing. When we moved out here 20 or so years ago seeing an eagle, outside of certain areas during the big winter migration when they come down from the north to eat spawning salmon, was a big deal. It would literally nearly stop traffic sometimes when one would appear and perch on a local highway bridge. Now it's almost common to see them. I don't know how to tell the sexes.. but I'd guess this might be a nesting pair, as it's that season now. Posted 8 years ago

The bald eagle is a bird of prey found in North America. A sea eagle, it has two known subspecies and forms a species pair with the white-tailed eagle, which occupies the same niche as the bald eagle in the Palearctic. Its range includes most of Canada and Alaska, all of the contiguous United States, and northern Mexico.
