Wallacean Drongo
Drongos are fairly common all over tropical Asia and Africa, but this one is special to me because it is named after the biologist who came up with the theory of evolution at the same time as Darwin but is today largely forgotten (Alfred Russel Wallace). This is the Bima subspecies that we saw on the island of Rinca (other main home of Komodo Dragons) and was actually first described by Wallace himself!
The Wallacean drongo or Greater Wallacean drongo is a species of bird in the family Dicruridae. It can be found in the countries of Indonesia and East Timor.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
