      Apparently not, since it lives in a landscape made up mostly of sand dunes. I assume that like many other desert dwellers, it has something on the feet to prevent burning. I do know that penguins have special blood circulation in their feet to prevent their featherless feet from getting too cold when they stand for long periods in the snow or ice.
