Willow Emerald Damselfly This damselfly really had a beautiful metallic green color with a splendid shine, more then I was able to picture with my camera. I would like my car to have such a color!
Special about this specie of damselfly is that it keeps it's wings spreaded while damselflies normally keep the folded.
Some of them where mating with blue damselflies, I wonder what the resulting color will be ;)
"Chalcolestes viridis", formerly "Lestes viridis", is a damselfly of the family Lestidae. It has a metallic green body and at rest it holds its wings away from its body. Its common name is the Willow Emerald Damselfly or the Western Willow Spreadwing.
