  1. Do you actually dig for these insects? Why do I never see them? Posted 2 years ago
    1. Short answer: Yes :o)
      Most of these live and hunt in the upper levels of the soil and decaying plant matter, so I find most of them when turning rocks, dead tree stumps or branches or the like or when peeling of bark of decaying wood or taking it apart all together. Then again some will venture out and you may find them higher up on a tree or wall, especially in the evening. Some species even frequent our homes and a few of these will even glow in the dark to aid in establishing a festive atmosphere while scaling your walls :o)

      1. Hehe. Somehow I've not yet conquered my fear of digging for insects. They fascinate me and I regularly come up close to them, but I still avoid touching them. Posted 2 years ago
