    1. Thanks Ferdy, but I have a guilty confession - I hadn't actually identified this one after I got back from Madagascar and had tons of pictures and notes about chameleons. It was your JungleDragon site that inspired me to go back and look through everything and I discovered this one. It wasn't hard to identify, but I had just overlooked it (hard to believe I know). ''Furcifer antimena'', also known as the Antimena chameleon, is a species of chameleon that is endemic to southwest Madagascar. It was initially described by French naturalist Alfred Grandidier in 1872.
