The Grey Fantail is a small insectivorous bird. A common fantail found in Australia, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and New Caledonia. The species is considered by many to conspecific with the New Zealand Fantail, however due to differences in its calls some authorities now treat it as a separate species.
