The Grey Fantail is a small insectivorous bird. A common fantail found in Australia , New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and New Caledonia. The species is considered by many to conspecific with the New Zealand Fantail , however due to differences in its calls some authorities now treat it as a separate species.
