        1. Well, a few lucky guys have seen straggler Black-browed albatrosses off the coast of Scotland. Last year, there was even the first albatross record on the Mediterranean coast of France!
          But if you do get to New Zealand, they are about as common as seagulls, even entering harbours in winter to beg for food scraps!

Salvin's albatross, or Salvin's mollymawk, "Thalassarche salvini", is a large seabird that ranges across the Southern Ocean. A medium-sized mollymawk in the albatross family, it was long considered to be a subspecies of the shy albatross. It is a medium-sized black and white albatross.
