  1. That is awesome, what an adventure! Posted 8 years ago
    1. Hi Christant, yes it was amazing and I recommend it to everyone. By the way, thanks alot for all of the support and enthusiasm. I stumbled onto your site while looking for wildlife pictures to help me identify something I had seen and became a member, but for many months only just looked at the pictures you send around every week. Then having just returned from Nepal, I decided to post my Indian rhinoceros close-up on a whim and your enthusiastic response encouraged me to get more involved and post other photos. I am having a lot of fun - it is a great website and I love all the features (well, except maybe for the process to change your avatar :-). Anyway, you've done a great job with this website and I just wanted to say thanks! Posted 8 years ago
      1. Thanks a lot for the kind words, Barry, and I glad you went from viewer to contributor. Wildlife is best when shared :) Without, we wouldn't have this:

        1. Thanks Ferdy, and well, you deserve the praise. This website works almost flawlessly and the species identifyer and geolocators are terrific. I can easily see that you know your way around software! Posted 8 years ago
          1. Thanks again :) Posted 8 years ago
            1. I noticed that my home says that I haven't geotagged this yet - but it looks to me like I have? Posted 8 years ago
              1. Yes, this is a somewhat exceptional problem. The geolocation on this photo is just outside the official countries' borders, according to Google. Posted 8 years ago
                1. OK, no worries - that is easy to fix! Posted 8 years ago

The whale shark, ''Rhincodon typus'', is a slow-moving filter feeding shark and the largest extant fish species. The largest confirmed individual had a length of 12.65 metres and a weight of more than 21.5 tonnes , and there are unconfirmed reports of considerably larger whale sharks. This distinctively-marked fish is the only member of its genus ''Rhincodon'' and its family, Rhincodontidae , which belongs to the subclass Elasmobranchii in the class Chondrichthyes.
