      1. Somebody informed me that H. muelleri has recently been split, and the ones in Peninsular Malaysia are now considered H. erringtoniae. I tracked this down to a 2016 paper: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27615907

        Albert, do you know if this is considered generally valid by the stick-insect community? Should I change this to H. erringtoniae?

        1. John, you are correct, this should be H. erringtoniae.
          Early days, this species was collected and bred in culture/hobby in Europe and wrongly identified as Haaniella muelleri, and this was mentioned/clarified in the description paper you mentioned.

          Haaniella muelleri is only documented from Sumatra.
