  1. It was explained to me elsewhere that the small paired spines on abdomen segments 2-4 make this H. grayii rather than H. echinata. Posted 8 years ago

They are quite large in size with a lot of spines on its body and also legs.
When threatened, they will use their 2 hind legs that are heavily armed with spines to slash at whatever that is posing a threat to them.
