Paropsisterna vittata
A second variation from Tasmania.
Based on observation of similar species, it is likely that the beetle will darken over time. This beetle was described by Blackburn as a mainland species and amongst the group of highly metallic species (nobilitata and gloriosa). Vittata is not metallic. This has led to the naming of the Tasmanian species as simsoni. Simsoni is likely to become synonymized.
Paropsisterna vittata is a species of leaf beetle found in Australia. It was described by Blackburn in 1899.
