  1. It seems to have a small head compared to its body. Does "hourglass" toad have anything to do with that? Posted 8 years ago
    1. The proportions are definitely odd for a toad -- the head is small and the legs and feet are long. I think "hourglass" is just another term to describe the shape of the pattern on the back, that you can't really see in this side view. Posted 8 years ago

The cross toad or hourglass toad is a species of toad in the family Bufonidae.
It is found in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and possibly Brunei.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and rivers.
It is threatened by habitat loss.
