  1. I could be mistaken but between the streaks and the very white wing bars, this looks more like a Setophaga warbler to me, maybe something like a female blackburnian? Posted 8 years ago
    1. Good catch! The Blackburnian actually is in our checklist, but the reference image I used for it is the male, which led me down the wrong path. Thanks for the correction. Posted 8 years ago

The Blackburnian warbler is a small New World warbler. They breed in eastern North America, from southern Canada, westwards to the southern Canadian Prairies, the Great Lakes region and New England, to North Carolina. Blackburnian warblers are migratory, wintering in southern Central America and in South America, and are very rare vagrants to western Europe.
