We can't always go to exciting destinations, so it is important to shoot locally whenever you can.
There is always wildlife around, you just have to find it, and if you can't take a good photo of a pigeon, then how are you meant to take a good photo of an eagle, right?

The mute swan is a species of swan and a member of the waterfowl family Anatidae. It is native to much of Europe and Asia, and the far north of Africa. It is an introduced species in North America, Australasia and southern Africa.
Similar species: Ducks, Geese, Etc.
