  1. You already have 2 of them under the species name Ideopsis juventa. Why should this one be different?

    1. Thanks for pointing this out, WildFlower.
The previous 2, the species ID was not created by me although I gave in the description as Ideopsis juventa manillana.

I will remove their species ID now as Ideopsis juventa and update their IDs to sub-species Ideopsis juventa manillana..

      1. I may have mentioned it before, I am not in favour of creating entries for subspecies unless there are at least a couple of them from one species and you can tell the difference just by looking at the picture. Do you have photos of other subspecies?
The species entry contains more information and a list of all the subspecies with their distribution. In your description you are not mentioning what is specific about this subspecies which makes it different from the others, e.g. it is only found on the island Luzon in the Philippines.

        1. WildFlower, I respect your personal opinion of not creating sub-species.
You can delete or change them if you like.
Being a hobbyist, I take pictures of what I see in the wild, and have no expertise or time to find and document various species and/or sub-species to show and illustrate their differences. For that, I leave it to the experts and taxanomists who spends thousands of hours to do that.
          Thank you.
