The long-tailed tyrant is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae, the only member of genus "Colonia". It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.
