Pachybrachius fracticollis

At 4,6-5,8mm a medium sized Ground Bug (Lygaeidae) that lives on Sedges (Cyperaceae) such as Eriophorum and Carex on wet heathlands and around bogs and fens.

The Lygaeidae senu lato have recently been split into many families that were formerly classified as subfamilies, but not all taxonomists follow this new structure. So this bug is either in the Rhyparochromidae or in the subfamily Rhyparochrominae under Lygaeidea
