    1. Howdy, you're right of course - it's an old photo that was still sitting on my hard drive with the old name :o)
      Strictly speaking, Patomarazul was correct too in naming it Chrysanthia geniculata geniculata as that is the subspecies present in the Netherlands, but for simplicity just Chrysanthia geniculata should be fine for the nominotypical subspecies ;o)

      1. I prefer to stick to the species level unless there are photos of several distinct subspecies.
        Patomarazul mixed things up a little bit. She has set the scientific name to Chrysanthia nigricornis and the common name to Chrysanthia geniculata geniculata which is not the case.
        I will add a list of the subspecies but only Ferdy can change the scientific name.
