Smooth-billed ani couple, Santa María, Colombia The light was getting too low for normal photography, so I used flash, which of course has limitations on a large range zoom lens. Even worse, I initially forgot to take the diffuser cap off, leading to very little light hitting these birds. Yet, it kind of captures the atmosphere of how we saw it with our naked eyes, so I kept it this way.
