Paku langsuyar A gigantic bird's nest fern growing by the roadside. I have almost forgotten how big these get! "Paku" is the general name for ferns, while langsuyar refers to the local vampire-like ghost of Malay mythology. It is said that the flying langsuyar/langsuir/pontianak likes to rest atop these tree dwelling ferns, preferably on a Ficus tree. Haha!
