
"Sardinella lemuru" is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus "Sardinella" found in the Eastern Indian Ocean and in the Western Pacific Ocean, in the area that stretches from southern Japan through the Malay Archipelago to the western Australia.

Have seen Thresher Sharks hunting among the Sardines and it is a spectacular sight as the Thresher Sharks uses their tails to whip their preys. But in recent years, it is mostly Jacks/Trevally, Tunas and some other reef fishes that hunt among them. Posted 8 years ago
