This Laomenes amboinensis is also known as Periclimenes amboinensis (synonym), scientifically.
Small in size, between 1 - 1.5 cm, they can be highly variable in colours - Yellow, White,Black,Blue,Orange,Green,Brown and in combination of colours, all depending on the host Crinoid that it lives on, for camouflage.

''Laomenes amboinensis'' is a species of shrimp found in waters off Indonesia, Queensland, New Caledonia, the Marshall Islands, the Ryukyu Islands and Papua New Guinea. It was first named by Johannes Govertus de Man in 1888, as ''Anchistia amboinensis''.
