Same critter me says. According to the remarks a revision would be in order, but for the time being it would seem that these may be identified as Astraea simillima. I'll cross check with other Astraea spp in some literature probably tomorrow. For now I'll tag as Astraea simillima.

There it is mentioned that supposedly Astraea is synonymized with Reineria, but for the species name they suggest flavopunctata. So that gives us Reineria flavopunctata and Reineria simillima to investigate ... and maybe some species in the genus Euglypta. In short: It'll need more research ... I came across another reference showing very similar looking specimen also from the same Island I saw this one, so am setting the ID to Euglypta flavopunctata. Posted 5 years ago
