The species Orthostheneboea laetior (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1907) is a Phasmid from the subfamily Necrosciinae Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893 and tribe Necrosciini Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893

The genus Orthostheneboea was newly created by Dr Francie Seow-Choen in his book, A Taxanomic Guide to the Stick Insects of Borneo, published in May 2016.
