Broad-bodied Chaser, immature male - side view
This is quite a large Dragonfly, that is easy to spot due to its size, which casts a shadow on the ground. I actually find them to be quite intimidating when they fly straight at you, but luckily this one eventually rested for a few seconds, which have me the opportunity to capture it whilst the sun created a nice exposure on its wings.

"Libellula depressa", the broad-bodied chaser or broad-bodied darter, is one of the most common dragonflies in Europe and central Asia. It is very distinctive with a very broad flattened abdomen, four wing patches and, in the male, the abdomen becomes pruinose blue.
