Skeletons of Green Turtles This is a skeleton of a Green Turtle - Chelonia mydas found in an underwater cave in Sipadan Island, more fondly known as Turtle Tomb. The name catches on after a documentary named Turtle Tomb, describing and explaining how Green Turtles went to sleep in the cave but died of asphyxia or drowning when they could not find their way out of the caves immediately when they are 'out of air'.
