  1. Jeroen, WOW! It does actually look you right in the eye, face turned and focussed. Just look a those legs btw, ladylike all the way (sorry ladies, she does look like a lady, and very very long those legs are. Real pieces of glassy art wings attached. A true beauty beautifully captured!

The Syrian Demoiselle is a species of damselfly in the family Calopterygidae. It is found in Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestinian Territory,, and Syria. Its natural habitats are along rivers and intermittent rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
