Ornate Shield Bug - Pygoplatys lancifer

Saw this beautiful Ornate Shield Bug immediately after I arrived at Tawau Hills Park, as it was just around 20 meters away from the building I was staying at. It was newly laying eggs and after taking a few shots, I decided to leave her at it and went back to check on her later in the day and saw that she has laid more eggs.

My plan was to keep monitoring her over the next few days I was staying there as in my previous trip, I also saw the same and the eggs were being 'attacked' by Parasitoid Wasp which I failed to notice at the time of sighting. This time, I had wanted to check if it will again be 'attacked' by the Parasitoid Wasp over the few days but unfortunately, the next morning, I noticed she was gone! Apparently, the Long Tail macaques had eaten her :(
