    This one is a beauty, I find it one of the most interesting insects to shoot.

    1. Not that hard, it's just that I'm a beginner in macro and did not have much luck spotting them so far. Which makes sense, as they only appear in specific months of the year.

      I read somewhere that during the cooler mornings of the summer, they are often sleeping in the grass and you can then approach them easily. When they heat up they become quite active and its harder then.

    1. One more tip: if they fly away, just stand still and wait. Usually they will return to the same spot where you found them. Posted 8 years ago
