
Boat-billed flycatcher, Santa María, Colombia
Superficially, in terms of feather and color patterns, Colombia has about a dozen birds that looks like this, being flycatchers and kiskadees. This specimen clearly stands out though by its bill, not only is it lengthy, it is also very thick.

The boat-billed flycatcher is a passerine bird. It is a large tyrant flycatcher, the only member of the monotypic genus ''Megarynchus''.
