    1. Yes it is, it's also called satin violet, money plant, Lunaria (moonwort) or silver dollars, Luna, the moon which explains the shape of the seed pods - lots of wildflowers have lots of different names, I always find it quite fascinating :) Posted 14 years ago

Lunaria annua, called honesty or annual honesty in English, is a tall (height about 1 m), hairy-stemmed biennial plant native to the Balkans and south west Asia, and naturalized throughout Europe, North America, and parts of Asia.
