Paropsisterna nupta
A small rotund beetle with elytral series finely punctured and loosely paired. Some puncturations bear black dots giving the appearance of beads on thread. The beetle is pale yellow and the interstices are pale cream with alternating thickness. Antennae and feet mostly black. Scutellum and base of head is black. Pronotum is unmarked.

Paropsisterna nupta is a small beetle in the tribe paropsini of leaf eating beetles. This is one of several arid species witch are small, convex, yellow with rows of black dots. The museum contains several specimens and the identification is without doubt although few images exist.
