  1. This species is about 11.5 centimeters and just about 11 grams, is exclusive of mangroves which prefers to remain quite low. They are solitary or form pairs during the year.
    With regard to food it is usual to see it actively jump through the foliage and roots and pauses to look for spiders, beetles and other small prey capture quickly. Their diet also includes some fruits.
    Its distribution extends from northwestern Mexico to Costa Rica on the Pacific coast. Also from the Yucatan Peninsula to the southeast of Nicaragua on the Caribbean side.
    It is noteworthy that it is considered a species under threat of extinction due to habitat loss due to deforestation.
