    1. These ones not, but watch the attached videos and you can see how well they can fly and dance together. Really fun to see.

      Did you know they keep their pink color due to eating crustacean?

      1. Yes, I heard a number of years ago, it's quite an astonishing fact. Outside of a zoo they indeed do fly (as we see in numerous movies), inside the zoo that's too expensive:)
        We are going to Overloon Zoo in a few weeks too, always nice. Family time though, so less shooting for me [that would become anoying anoyingly fast for them, grin]

The greater flamingo is the most widespread species of the flamingo family. It is found in parts of Africa, southern Asia, and southern Europe. Some populations are short distance migrants, and sightings north of the breeding range are relatively frequent; however, given the species' popularity in captivity, whether or not these are truly wild individuals is a matter of some debate.
