When uploading a few larvae of Chrysomelinae for comparison with images our Aussie friends uploaded, I stumbled on a _lot_ of erroneous/iffy IDs in the Chrysolinas on the site. These are not my specialty and an ID form photo is often quite "adventurous" for this group to begin with (even if you are better with them than I am). So, generally (and especially for me), it's a lot easier to say that something is wrong, than it is to provide a proper corrected ID. Blowing this one up I seem to recognize some features that would have it be the Green Dock Beetle (Gastrophysa viridula), so I'll change the ID to that for now. If you would happen to have (at some point in the future) more images of this one (dorsal shot, close-up of tibia) it could help to pin it down more firmly :o) Posted 7 years ago

  Thanks for doing the corrections. Regarding my own photos, the further you go back, the more errors you are likely to encounter. And still today I'm not a biologist so likely to be wrong on many accounts, so I trust you and other experts in your assessment over my own poor judgement. I appreciate the corrections, so don't hesitate to do them.
