Giant Stink/Shield Bug
Saw 3 of this Giant Stink Bug during a night walk and all 3 of them were brooding their eggs.
The white stuff under the abdomen are their eggs. This Stink bugs are known to brood and take care of the eggs although their efforts are not 100% full proof. Occasionally, Parasitoid Wasps will lay their own eggs on the eggs of this Shield Bugs.

I wonder why they are called Giant, unless the other species of Shield Bugs are mostly much smaller? Posted 8 years ago
Probably that's why for this at 2.5 cm, its considered a Giant. Posted 8 years ago
