      1. I see what happened. I misspelled the subspecies name when I created the record -- I spelled it "edmondi" instead of "edmondii". I have associated the photo with the record I created, and I'll ask Ferdy if he could please fix the misspelling. Posted 9 years ago

Danaus melanippus is a butterfly species found in tropical Asia which belongs to the "crows and tigers", that is, the danaine group of the brush-footed butterflies family. It has around 17 subspecies. D. m. edmondii is the subspecies found in the Philippines.
