  1. I'm wondering where the name Attacus lorquini originates from. It's not a species in this genus:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attacus

Nor is it part of a formal genus on eol.org (only part of a Flickr group there). I wonder where this name is formally recognized?

    1. Hi Ferdy, I tried again, and it keeps giving me Attacus crameri :(

The correct name is Attacus lorquinii, with 2 'i's and that was my mistake and also the mistake of many others who post them. The wikipedia page for the correct name i.e. Attacus lorquinii is here :

      https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attacus_lorquinii

Its not in English, but you can take the Google translate and it will give you the correct species ID :)
