This is a Female Phasmid of the species Parorthomeria alexis.
She is small in size, around 3.5 cm.
Found her on the mirror of the common bathroom at Kubah National Park, she was probably attracted by the light of the bathroom during the night.

  1. Do you have a source of taxonomy data for this species? I can't find anything about it, not even about the genus level. Posted 8 years ago
    1. My apology, Ferdy. It should have been Parorthomeria alexis and not Paraorthomeria alexis.
      It was previously a sub-genus under the genus of Orthomeria - Orthomeria (Parorthomeria) alexis but was elevated to a full genus in the book, A taxonomic guide to the stick insects of Borneo released this May 2016.
