
Spiny Stick Insect, Phasmid - Aretaon muscosus
This is a female Phasmid of the species Aretaon muscosus, from the family of Obrimini, which are known for the species with spines. It is mostly green in colour in different shades, making it well camouflaged in her surrounding especially on tree trunks with moss or leafs.

For now, am stating the ID as Aretaon muscosus as that's how it is listed in the latest publication of the species but there is a high possibility that it is a different and undescribed species! Posted 9 years ago
